Not All Heroes Wear Capes

Celebrating National Superhero Day

It seems our definition of a Superhero has changed these past weeks. Now, as we face the challenges of Covid-19, it’s the everyday healthcare workers and first responders who fight to keep us safe. They’re the people we cheer every night at 7pm in our hometown city of New York and around the world for the critical work they do.

Just like so many of you, the Mochidoki team has friends and family members who are among those brave caregivers. And we wanted to do something to show them our appreciation.

In honor of National Superhero Day we sent mochi ice cream to doctors and nurses in facilities including: Cleveland Clinic, OH; UH Geauga Medical Center, OH; RRH Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY; NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Brooklyn Hospital Center and Mt. Sinai in NYC; Lowell General Hospital, NH; and Medstar Georgetown Hospital, Washington DC.

Anything we can do to put a smile on someone’s face -- especially when those smiles are behind a safety mask -- will always be a priority for us.

At Mochidoki, we’re staying vigilant and taking every measure possible to protect our customers and our team. You can read more here about how we’re also making sure our mochi reaches everyone safely.

Be well and please thank the front line Superheroes you love most from all of us here at Mochidoki.
